What’s in My Camera Bag?

I get asked a lot, “What all do you bring to a wedding with you?” I often forget what all it takes to shoot an entire wedding way. Being a photographer, it seems only fitting to explain what’s in my bag with a photograph.

Though this seems like a lot of photography gear, there are a few things that I left out (of the image) and many more items I wouldn’t mind adding. The list of each item and a link to purchase is also included at the bottom of the page.

The best part of all of having all of this gear for a wedding is that it all fits in my Think Tank Logistics Manager. Everything except the two larger lighting modifiers and lightstands. However, I can carry/roll all of my wedding gear by myself in one trip. Pretty mobile, considering.

With the release of so many awesome Sony mirrorless cameras, it has been a struggle to not make the swap over to the lighter and smaller equipment. I have a lot of money invested in some of the best glass Zeiss has to offer and I won’t make that transition without putting some serious though into it.

I did recently pick up a Sony a7Rii and absolutely love it! I will continue to be patient in making a complete transition until I hear more from Sony on their intended direction for A-Mount. Until then, I will just reap the benefits of both.
